After visiting Logan College of Chiropractic in her senior year of college, she knew she was ready to transition to St. Louis to attend chiropractic school. Soon after starting school, her parents and younger sister also moved to St. Louis. During her time at Logan University, she was a member of several clubs and organizations to learn as much about chiropractic as possible. She also served as an academic tutor to help students master the course material. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic with Magna Cum Laude honors.

Dr. Stephenson married her St. Louis native husband, Mike, in October 2020. They welcomed their daughter Raegan into the family at the end of 2024.
