NECK PAIN

Neck pain is one of the most common reasons that patients seek out chiropractic care. Our neck, which is also referred to as the cervical spine, is an important part of our body that we must take care of. Our head averages 12 pounds and the neck is the first part of our spine that is there to support it.

Our neck is very susceptible to damage and joint dysfunction due to overuse. Activities such as looking at a computer all day, driving, or any repetitive movements can cause joint dysfunction. Our goal at Premier Chiropractic is to assess the cause of the neck pain in order to get you feeling great again, and prevent a potential reoccurring problem.

SYMPTOMS INDICATING NECK INVOLVEMENT

  • Not being able to look over your shoulders

  • Numbness/pain between the neck and elbow or wrist

  • Discomfort at night and/or not getting enough sleep

  • Headaches | Migraines

  • Discomfort while working at a desk/computer

HOW CAN CHIROPRACTIC HELP?

Chiropractic adjustments can help decrease joint restrictions in the neck, which in turn will improve normal ranges of motion. Our doctors focus on targeting the root of the problem instead of focusing on the symptoms themselves. Neck pain is not normal and it is important to properly diagnose the cause in order to have the most effective treatment. We are able to target the joints, ligaments, and muscles in order to achieve the best results for our patients.

TREATMENTS FOR NECK PAIN

At Premier Chiropractic we will individualize a treatment plan for each patient. Treatments for neck pain include adjustments, soft tissue release, rehabilitation exercises, and other non-invasive therapies.

HEADACHES

Recurring headaches can be caused by abnormal joint function and muscle tension within the neck and shoulders. If you suffer from headaches that are keeping you from completing daily activities, chiropractic adjustments and muscle work can get you moving again.

CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME & NECK PAIN

Carpal tunnel syndrome may be directly related to your neck pain. If you find that you are experiencing arm or hand weakness/numbness in conjunction with muscle tension in the neck, it could be connected.  Our chiropractors will be able to quickly distinguish the cause of your pain and get you on the road to recovery.

WHIPLASH

Whiplash from a car accident or other traumatic event can be helped by chiropractic care. Passive therapies such as electric stimulation will help in the acute phase to reduce inflammation in the affected joints. Our doctors are certified in a special technique called the McKenzie Methods, which can be used to target disc derangements directly caused by whiplash.
